How many people does the blog aggregator get out to these days? I think it must be only Jack, Chris and perhaps Jen, if I’m lucky. It would have been nice for the blog aggregator to have taken off the way it was meant to, with everyone regularly blogging about anything and everything. But it doesn’t take much time for people to see it as a chore, and as soon as it becomes a chore, the window for procrastination is open. And so the blog aggregator is left to those loyal few who feel that the internet ought to be blessed with their 5 cents on a regular basis, and for that I commend you.

As I returned to wordpress.com to dust off the surface of my blog, and read any new comments which may have randomly been added since last I posted. And lo and behold, there were a few comments from random people. I enjoy the fact that somehow, random people stumble across my little piece of the internet and decide to leave a comment. I wish that I had kept up with the blogging, because even going back and reading it myself, I remembered a few things that had evaded my memory in the months since i wrote them. It’s just like a public diary.

Another interesting doscovery, was that my blog had been the target of blogspam, that is, comments written in reply to your posts, advertising things such as the promise of three inches to your member. They only hit one post, which was one which advertised that I was about to go and watch “T.h.e S.i.m.p.s.o.n.s” I’m sure that these lame pre-programmed robots target common words such as these (hence the periods between them). How incredibly pointless, given that I doubt anyone would ever click on these spam ads.

As for my life, well, this year has brought along it’s challenges, friendships gained and lost, the early morning tedium of waking up for school. The added freedom of having my provisional licence has made made my social life slightly more active, because I can get out of the house on weekends and do things without having to rely on parents, or that absolute CRAP that Metro calls the “Lauderdale Weekend Timetable”.

In just 6 months time it will be the end of the year. This means that I will have finished year 12, and hence finished school. Now there is a scary thought. The thought that this year counts for more than anything else I have done in my life. And with the end of school, comes the beginning of a new period of my life. As I leave behind my “Friends’ School” era, there will be some things that I will be quite happy to leave behind, but others that will be much more difficult. However, going too far into this would be a bit too much for me to entrust unto a public blog site, so my innermost thoughts will remain in the safety of my own head, for fear of being sued for defamation.

I’m guessing that if anyone actually started to read this post, noone is reading it now

So with a completely unfulfillable promise of more posts in the future, I must sign off.

I’ve now witnessed only two 20/20 cricket matches and both were a total flop.  They both involved one team coming out and getting more than 200 and the other team coming out to bat and failing, it was Tas v WA and Aus v Eng

As most of you know I will be away at Coles Bay from the 18th till the 28th, which involves no mobile phone, as far as i know, cos im with optus… Curse you optus and your good rates but shitty coverage so if you try and contact me (doubtful) thats where i am

more interesting news, i have a driving test on thursday (oh dear)  so wish me luck

Hello again people, long time, no post, as usual…

Bonfire was held at my place on saturday night (you know that, you were most likely there, if you are reading this) and i think it went down a treat, as they say.

Anyhow, I feel that my life has reached a new level of fulfullment. This is because I learned a great life skill yesterday. Infact, I can’t even imagine my life without it. I learnt how to “Differentiate by First Principles”… Wow, how deep is that?!

Unfortunately I don’t have enough time right now to make this a long and interesting post… I decided not to post my hospital story on here, but if anyone feels the need to hear all about my hospital experiences, I am more than happy to do “blogs by request”

here is my series of unfortunate events… it started yesterday, which was monday.  This is the least unfortunate of said events, but mentionable nonetheless.. I applied to the rotary club of sorell for a place at the national youth science forum in january, and part of this involved speaking at a rotary meeting about myself. That was nerve racking of course, but still fine.

Secondly.  This morning, i had to go to the doctor to ask about some swollen glands in my neck, so the doctor did a bloodtest then and there which was painful despite mum saying that they shouldnt hurt!  Then as we went out into the reception area i collapsed against the door and according to my sister i went grey! so i got to go lie down and drink some blackcurrent cordial.  But I was fine, still awaiting blood test results however.

Thirdly.  Today, just after the bloodtest i was waiting to meet a rather delightful young lady by the name of Dimity, whom quite a few of you know, for lunch.  I was waiting for her in cat and fiddle arcade, she was late just because she was, so i got my phone out to check if she had sent me a message. It turned out that i had forgotten to turn my phone back on after having to turn it off at the doctors surgery.  So i turned it on and sure enough dim had sent a message saying that she was indeed late and would be there shortly.  Unfortunately, accompanying this message was a message telling me that my dad, and my uncle had both called and that i had a new voice message.  I checked this and it was my dad, and in a very grave tone, said 'can you get mum to call me, its VERY urgent.  I couldnt get ahold of mum so i left a message, and then went and enjoyed a wonderful three hours in town with Dimity.  As I was riding home on the bus, I got a message from Julian, saying that he was sorry about my grandfather.  Strange I suppose to get the news from him that my grandfather passed away, but this was how it was. The funeral is scheduled for this friday.

And finally, it is almost time for my operation, so i have to check into hospital tomorrow at 12:30 and have four teeth out under a general anaesthetic, meaning i will probably be in pain and have an obese face for my grandfathers funeral.

Well, I think thats about it.  If anyone is still reading by now, I sincerely apologize to those who found this a somewhat depressing post, and I would deeply appreciate your sympathy
